94 Points & Double Gold awarded to our 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon

We are proud to announce that our Sol Rouge 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon received 94 Points & Double Gold from the American Fine Wine Competition!

Notes From the Winemaker:

In 2018, our estate Cabernet Sauvignon produced a nice set with even clusters and moderate size berries, producing some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that we’ve seen from our vineyard. We utilize three different cabernet sauvignon clones in this wine: Clone 4 that provides the plush red fruit, Clone 6 that provides the mid-palate spice, and Clone 337 (our favorite) which provides the classic Bordeaux focus and structure. This Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits the classic aromas of cassis, licorice, and dark fruit on the nose. It is rich and full-bodied with sweet tannins, a multi-layered mid-palate of dark red and black berries, and a long finish which carries the dark fruit into a long finish. The balanced fruit and tannic structure of this wine will benefit 3-4 years in the cellar and will age well over the next 10-15+ years.
